As part of the celebrations organized for Italy’s National Day, an exhibition of panels dedicated to Italian Regions was held at Metternich Palace in Vienna, headquarters of the Embassy of Italy in Austria.

The exhibition consists of 20 panels and for each Region photos of significant landscapes and cities, gastronomic specialties and other typical products were selected. In addition, each Region features a representative character and a quote from him.

What emerges is a very diverse picture that well represents Italy characterized by an extraordinary regional diversity, the result of a millennial history and a unique and fascinating geography.

The exhibition was created by Amb. Stefano Baldi, currently Permanent Representative to the OSCE in Vienna.

The project of an exhibition on the Regions for a wide audience was conceived to foster a greater understanding of the diversity of Italian regional realities, an invaluable heritage to be preserved and enhanced.

The exhibition was also staged, with adaptations, by the Italian Embassy in Jerevan and the Italian Embassy in Accra.
