Cultural diplomacy plays a crucial role in enhancing mutual understanding, promoting national interests, and addressing global challenges through cultural exchange and cooperation. Whether in bilateral or multilateral settings, it serves as a powerful tool for fostering peace, stability, and international relations.
In this booklet titled “Cultural Diplomacy in the Permanent Mission. The experience of the Permanent Mission of Italy to the OSCE in Vienna (2021-2024)”, Amb. Stefano Baldi highlights many of the cultural activities organized during his tenure as Permanent Representative of Italy to the OSCE. The events, hosted at various venues including the Official Residence, the Italian Cultural Institute, and Palais Metternich (the Embassy of Italy in Austria), encompassed a wide spectrum of cultural forms. From concerts featuring classical and electronic music to book presentations of essays and poetry, and exhibitions showcasing art and history, each event was carefully curated to present different facets of Italian culture and tradition.
The last part of the publication is dedicated to some books on the OSCE published by the Permanent Mission during the same period.
