Conference on combating Anti-Semitism in the OSCE region (7-8 February 2022). Italian participation.

The Conference on combating anti-Semitism in the OSCE regionegion, organized by the Polish Chairmanship-in-Office in consultation with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), took place in Warsaw on 7-8 February 2022.

The event, with the participation of representatives of OSCE participating States, international organizations and civil society, analyzed today’s risks and challenges in the fight against anti-Semitism and allowed for sharing best practices in the development of national strategies and concrete tools in the fight against all forms of intolerance and discrimination, as well as for promoting interreligious and intercultural dialogue.

Prof. Milena Santerini, Italy’s National Coordinator for the fight against anti-Semitism, intervened at the event. Prof. Santerini presented the most recent Italian initiatives to fight anti-Semitism online, including the agreements reached with Google and Tik Tok and the translation of ODIHR’s teaching aids in Italian.

The program of the Conference included into four working sessions: combating anti-Semitism in the OSCE area: current risks and challenges; combating anti-Semitism online; fostering Jewish life revival and role of local activists; combating anti-Semitism and anti-Roma discrimination in and through education.
