On 21 June 2022, at an official ceremony held at the Bulgarian Embassy in Vienna, Ambassador Stefano Baldi was awarded the Bulgarian honour of the Order of the Knight of Madara first class.
The honour was presented by the Chargé d’Affaires of Bulgaria in Austria, Albena Petkova Getova, and by Amb. Emilia Kraleva, Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to the OSCE and International Organisations in Vienna.
The award, which is the highest Bulgarian honour given to diplomats, was conferred by the President of the Bulgarian Republic in appreciation of Amb. Baldi’s service as Ambassador of Italy in Sofia during the years 2016 to 2020.
