Italy’s statement at the Special OSCE Permanent Council meeting on the crisis in Ukraine

Amb. Pasquale Ferrara, Political Director at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, intervened at the special OSCE Permanent Council meeting on 22 February 2022. He reaffirmed Italy’s strong condemnation of the unilateral decision of the Russian Federation to recognise the so-called separatist republics of Lugansk and Donetsk, as well as Italy’s continued support for a diplomatic solution to the crisis.

Amb. Ferrara reiterated Italy’s strong support to the work of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine and in particular the valuable contribution of Italian personnel seconded to the Mission.
