The First Preparatory Meeting of the 26th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum took place in Vienna, between 22 and 23 January 2018, titled “Promoting economic progress and security in the OSCE area through innovation, human capital development, and good public and corporate governance”. Around 200 participants in the Forum, including experts, diplomats and civil servants from the 57 OSCE participating States, exchanged their views and shared their experiences with regards to the consequences of the digital economy, automation and new technologies on security in the OSCE area.
The 2nd Preparatory Meeting will be held in Italy in May and will focus on human capital development.
